Gotham Gems

I had fun drawing characters as other characters for Inktober, like Halloween costumes. This was day 19.

The Crystal Gems as Batman villains! I originally was going to have Garnet as Poison Ivy, Pearl as Catwoman, and Amethyst as Harley Quinn… but I decided to do things a little.

Garnet’s costume is so similar to Harley’s, it would be a shame not to use that, and her quote “All comedy is derived from fear” sealed the deal. Amethyst seems to have a thing for cats, plus her weapon is a whip, so she fits nicely as Catwoman. Pearl doesn’t have too much in common with Ivy, but then I remembered how fond Ivy is of roses…
